I made a few revisions to my Action Research Plan from part 2. In part 2, I had six action steps and I realized I had some gaps in my initial draft. I reviewed the Harris text to determine where I needed more information. I revised my part 3 plan to include eight action steps. I added interviews with the Big Brother Big Sister Program Coordinator and with my school counselor. Conducting these interviews will provide me with more data to analyze and to gain a deeper understanding. At the conclusion of my research, I’ve added to make a presentation with my findings to the church, Big Brother Big Sister Program, and with the staff at my campus. Speaking to these three groups will allow me to take action and to share the information to sustain campus improvement.

Question:
What effects do adult mentors have on elementary students?
Goal: To evaluate the

Danelle- Your action plan is thorough and practical. Mentoring programs are beneficial in many ways and I am eager to see the outcome your action research plan. Amy
ReplyDeleteDanelle you have a very well thought out plan. I agree in that I think your interviews will give you more data support. I wish I could say that my school could give you some information, but we do not have a mentoring program here. I am interested in seeing the results of your research because it might be something worth adding to my district. Good Luck!!
ReplyDeleteI am very interesed to see what you find out with this plan!! I teach at a middle school and I know mentoring here helps!!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited about your plan! I would love if our campus had a mentor program. As a Title I school we have many kiddos that don't seem to have anyone on their side to talk to or encourage them and show interest in them!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see the results of your plan and share them with my own campus. We used to have a mentoring program, however, it has been dropped in the last couple of years due to lack of interest and I am seeing the decline in our students. I would love to have research to breath new life into what was once an excellent program! Good luck!
